   Community Resources

  • The Department of Developmental Services is an agency through which the State of California provides services and supports to individuals with developmental disabilities.

  • Community Care Licensing promotes the health, safety, and quality of life of each person in community care through the administration of an effective collaborative regulatory enforcement system.

  • The California Department of Rehabilitation works in partnership with consumers and other stakeholders to provide services and advocacy resulting in employment, independent living and equality for individuals with disabilities.
  • Valley Mountain Regional Center serves children and adults with developmental disabilities in San Joaquin, Stanislaus, Amador, Calaveras and Tuolumne counties. Free diagnosis and assessment services are available to any person suspected of having a developmental disability, such as mental retardation, cerebral palsy, epilepsy, or autism. 
  • The Regional Center of the East Bay is a private, non-profit corporation providing services and supports to individuals with developmental disabilites under contract with the California Department of Developmental Services.
  • Alta California Regional Center assists persons with developmental disabilities, including infants at risk and their families by providing and securing those services and supports necessary to maximize opportunities and choices. 

  • DRAIL is dedicated to working towards the objectives of the disability rights and independent living movement through the provisions of comprehensive services designed to empower and improve the quality of life for persons with disabilities.
